Ever Onward

This scrapbook was created by my Grandfather about his proud service in the U.S. Army during World War II. It follows his experience with the 672nd Amphibian Tractor Battalion all the way from training at Camp Hood in Texas to the Los Banos Rescue in the Phillipines and back home. The Rescue/Raid at Los Banos is recognized as one of the most successful rescue operations in modern military history and has been the subject of a number of books and a History Channel production. Much of the glory for the rescue goes, rightfully so, to the men of the 11th Airborne Division. Let THIS account stand for one of the brave men of 672, whose journey includes a direct encounter with General MacArthur himself, and many other interesting stops along the way.

A small disclaimer: A couple of the images in this scrapbook could possibly be disturbing to the easily offended. I guess that's why Grandpa didn't share it with me until he felt I was old enough. Please keep this in mind and view at your own risk.
